Bloomsburg Downs Houghton in Field Hockey
HOUGHTON, NY--Samantha Kropa (Tunkhannock/Lackawanna Trail) scored twice and assisted on a third goal to lead the undefeated Bloomsburg University field hockey team to a 4-0 win over Houghton College in a non-conference game on Monday.
Kropa did all her damage in the first half as she scored both her goals and assisted on another all in a span of 16 minutes.
Maggie Bloskey (Danville/Danville) and Amanda Arbogast (Mifflintown/Juniata) both scored their first collegiate goals in the game with Bloskey scoring in the first half off a Kropa assist, while Arbogast scored with 20 minutes to play off an Erin Hench assist.
In goal, Tracey Hudak (Sweet Valley/Lake-Lehman) and Allison Ziants (Winfield/Selinsgrove) split time evenly with Hudak making four saves and Ziants two.
Bloomsburg, 14-0, will host Millersville on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. at Sports Stadium.
